PolyTech Installation Guide

1. Check Measurements.
2. Remove Screens.
3. Remove sash from frame:
  a. Insert handle into holes drilled in sash. Handle should point towards bottom of window.

  b. Pull gently on the face plate (on the handle) & turn to one side - two screw holes become visible.
  c. Insert top screw and tighten (do not over-tighten).
  d. Turn handle 90 degrees and install lower screw.

  e. Return face plate to original position & turn handle to lock position.
  f. Tap top hinge pin down, then pull pin down (Note: pin will not fall out, there is a safety stop).
  g. Turn handle to open position and remove sash.

4. Insert nail flange into outer slot in frame. Bottom first, then sides, top last.

5. Center window in rough opening, shim window 3/8" from bottom sill for insulation. Make sure frame is perfectly square, level, and plumb (failure to do this can cause problems with the lock system).

6. Fasten frame to building.
7. Reinstall sash in frame.
8. Check window in each position (locked, swing & tilt) for adjustments:
  a. Vertical Adjustments: On the bottom hinge, a phillips-head screw or a 4mm allen-key bolt will enable you to adjust up or down (clockwise up).

  b. Lateral Adjustments: On the top of the sash, a phillips-head set bolt can be located for adjustments (counterclockwise draws sash toward hinge).

9. Snap drain caps into the holes found on the bottom of the exterior frame.

10. Lubricate sash hardware annually.
